I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.

Former two-time world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly happening.
